By accessing or using The Event Hub at theeventhub.com.ng, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

1. Event Creation

To create an event you must provide a host name, host phone number, event name, event date, and a recovery word. There are no user accounts or passwords on The Event Hub. Your access to an event is protected by the recovery word you set at creation, plus an optional bouncer PIN for the scanner. You are responsible for keeping your event links and recovery word confidential.

2. Guest Data

Guest data collected through the Service includes names and phone numbers entered by the host or submitted by guests via the RSVP form. This data is used solely for event check-in purposes and is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service for any illegal, harmful, or fraudulent purpose. Do not use the QR check-in system to discriminate, harass, or deny access based on protected characteristics.

4. Service Availability

The Service is provided on an "as is" basis. While we strive for reliability, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Event Hub shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

6. Modifications

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

The Event Hub provides a self-service platform for generating QR-based guest passes and running door check-ins at events. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.

• Host Information: Event name, host name, and host phone number provided when you create an event.
• Guest Data: Names and phone numbers added to your guest list.
• Check-in Logs: Timestamps of when guests were checked in.
• Technical Data: Browser type, operating system, and approximate location based on IP address.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information solely for the following purposes:

• Generate and manage QR guest passes for events
• Enable door check-in functionality
• Provide event analytics
• Send event-related notifications
• Prevent fraudulent or duplicate check-ins

3. Data Retention

Event data is retained for a limited period after your event date and is then automatically purged.

4. Data Security

We implement reasonable measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

5. Third-Party Services

We use service providers such as Supabase for application hosting and data services and Paystack for payment processing. They process information only as needed to provide those services under their own terms. The Event Hub does not sell or rent your personal data.

6. Data Subject Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time.
