Question 1

How does The Event Hub work?

Accepted Answer

You create an event and share a private RSVP link with your guests. Each guest gets a unique QR pass on their phone (no app needed). When they arrive, your bouncers scan the QR using any phone browser. That's it.

Question 2

Do guests need to download an app?

Accepted Answer

No. Guests receive their QR pass directly in their browser. They just open the link, see their pass, and show it at the door. No app store, no account, no password.

Question 3

Do bouncers need to download anything?

Accepted Answer

No. You share a scanner link with your bouncers. They open it on any phone browser, enter a PIN, and they're ready to scan. One link, unlimited bouncers.

Question 4

How long does it take to set up?

Accepted Answer

Most events are created in under 60 seconds. You fill in the event name, date, and a recovery word, then share your RSVP link with guests immediately.

Question 5

What do guests need to RSVP?

Accepted Answer

Just their name and phone number. They don't need to create an account or download anything. They get their QR pass instantly after submitting.

Question 6

Can't someone just screenshot a QR pass?

Accepted Answer

Screenshots are easy to spot at the door since the bouncer sees the guest's screen. More importantly, once a pass is scanned, it's invalidated instantly. Even if someone tries to reuse the same screenshot later, it will show as already used.

Question 7

Can passes be cloned or faked?

Accepted Answer

Each pass uses a cryptographically unique token. The scanner validates it in real time against our server. Cloned or duplicated passes are rejected because the system only accepts each token once.

Question 8

What happens if my phone dies at the door?

Accepted Answer

We recommend guests save a screenshot of their pass before the event. As a host, you can also look up any guest by name or phone in your control center and manually check them in as a fallback.

Question 9

What happens if someone screenshots or shares their QR code?

Accepted Answer

Each QR pass uses a one-time cryptographic token. Once scanned, it's permanently invalidated. If someone shares their QR, the first person to use it gets in, and the original guest's pass becomes void at the gate.

Question 10

Is my guest data secure?

Accepted Answer

We use access controls and security measures designed to protect event data, and we do not sell it. Review the Legal page for the current data-use and retention terms before collecting guest information.

Question 11

How many guests can I manage?

Accepted Answer

The free plan supports up to 20 guests. The Basic plan supports up to 200, and the Pro plan supports up to 2,000 guests per event.

Question 12

Can I use multiple bouncers at the same time?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Share the scanner link with as many bouncers as you need. All check-ins sync in real time, so if one bouncer scans a guest, every other scanner instantly knows that guest is already checked in.

Question 13

Can I see who has checked in during the event?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your host control center shows a live guest list with check-in status, updated every 8 seconds. You can also export the full guest list as a CSV at any time.

Question 14

What if I lose access to my event link?

Accepted Answer

Every event is protected by a recovery word you set during creation. Visit the Recover page and enter your recovery word to get your event links back instantly.

Question 15

Can I add multiple bouncers to one event?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every plan supports unlimited bouncers. Just share the scanner link with your team. All check-ins sync in real-time so your team sees the same guest list across devices.

Question 16

How do I export my guest list?

Accepted Answer

Go to your event dashboard and click Export in the top bar. CSV export is included on BASIC and PRO plans.

Question 17

Is this a subscription service?

Accepted Answer

No. You pay a flat one-time fee per event. No monthly charges, no cancellations, no surprises. Once you create your event, it's yours for that event.

Question 18

What's included in the free plan?

Accepted Answer

The free plan gives you up to 20 guests, full QR pass system, mobile bouncer scanner, double-scan protection, PIN-protected terminal, WhatsApp RSVP sharing, and CSV guest list export.

Question 19

What do I get with paid plans?

Accepted Answer

Basic ($25) supports up to 200 guests and adds save/share pass options. Pro ($79) supports up to 2,000 guests with priority support. All plans include unlimited bouncers and real-time sync.

Question 20

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

We accept all major cards, bank transfers, and mobile money via Paystack. Pricing is displayed in USD (auto-converts to NGN for Nigerian users).

Question 21

Can I get a refund if my event is cancelled?

Accepted Answer

Refunds are available within 7 days of purchase if no guest data has been processed. Contact support with your event token.

Question 22

How do I create my first event?

Accepted Answer

Click 'Create Your Event' on the homepage, choose a plan, fill in your event details (name, date, host info), and complete checkout. You'll get a unique RSVP link and bouncer dashboard within seconds.

Question 23

Can I customise the event page?

Accepted Answer

The event page shows your event name, date, and your brand's logo. You can set a custom recovery word and share everything via WhatsApp directly from the control center.
